Altus Lab Chandigarh was founded in 2013 by Dr. Alok Gupta with a single clear goal: to give patients in the Chandigarh tricity access to specialist-grade diagnostic accuracy — at honest, transparent pricing. Dr. Alok Gupta completed his MBBS and MD Pathology from Christian Medical College (CMC) Ludhiana — one of India’s most competitive and respected medical institutions. This rigorous training gave him specialist-level proficiency across haematology, histopathology, microbiology and molecular diagnostics.
After post-graduation, he joined PGIMER Chandigarh for his Senior Residency, where he worked on the most complex diagnostic cases in North India. Subsequently, he gained large-scale laboratory management experience at Apollo Hospitals and Vimta Labs before founding Altus Lab in 2013.
